Yvonne Whitman

Yvonne Whitman was born on July 7, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Otha P. Whitman and Gradie Mae (Whitman) King. She departed this life on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of three. She attended elementary, middle, and high school graduating from Elmhurst High School. She was also a graduate of Masters Beauty College, Fort Wayne, Indiana, becoming a renowned beautician in the city. She also was a Home Health Care Worker. Yvonne Whitman leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Shamera Washington, two sons, Tony Washington, Jr. and Cameron Dial, all of Fort Wayne, IN; four brothers, Artro (Constance) Whitman, Huntsville, Alabama, S.D. (Gloria) Stots of Morrow, Georgia, Olden King, Jr. and Andre King, both of Fort Wayne, IN; Three sisters, Evangelist Theresa Lattimore of Morrow Georgia, Thelma Church and Dorothy Church of Fort Wayne, Indiana and her life-mate, Roland Ellington of Fort Wayne, IN.; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha P. Whitman and Gradie Mae (Whitman) King; step-father, Deacon Olden King, Sr.; four sisters, Jacqueline Stots, Gwendolyn Bradley, Mable Cotton and Vaughn Williams.
