Wanda Moore Obituary

Wanda Renaye Moore was born September 26, 1970, to Ella Lee Moore of
Newbern, Alabama, and Jessie Manning of Ensley at University Hospital
Birmingham, Alabama. Renaye was adopted by Webster (Jr.) and Marie Sims of
Birmingham, Alabama. Her grandparents were Arthur and Ollie Moore (maternal
grandparents) and Addie Bee Sims Young (paternal grandparents).
Wanda confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of St. James
Baptist Church Ensley under Rev. N. W. Colston. Upon moving back to Fort
Wayne Indiana, she became a member of Saint John Missionary Baptist church.
Where she would lend her voice to praise God in the choir.
She attended the Birmingham school system for years. She graduated high
school from the Fort Wayne community school system.
She attended Job Corps and received a degree in Culinary arts and was an
excellent cook.
Wanda managed a successful braiding business for years while focusing on caring
for Angel who had a form of cerebral palsy. Wanda managed a restaurant for a
few years while working side-by-side with her son.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Queen Amelia Moore-McNeil
(Kenneth) of Birmingham, Alabama, an adopted brother Preston Sims, of
Birmingham, Alabama.
Wanda was the Mother of Quenecia Labre Gaylor-Moore {Greg), Curanda
Renea White, Leon Dante “Quincy” Moore, Lenny Moore, Jr., Angel Mercedes
LeAyres Moore, Lorenzo S. Moore-White.
Wanda has five grandsons: Curtis White III, Quenell Moore, Quendell
Moore, Quentrell Moore, and Ameris White-Roman.
Also, nieces who were like daughters to her: Jacquella Moore, Dr.Whitney
McNeil-Turner, Janaye Watson-Robertson, Lasondra Watson. Two adopted
nieces: Glendesha and Mary Sims.
Nephews/sons: Cottrell Watson(Jaimee), and Kenneth McNeil II (Gail). One
adopted nephew Josh Sims.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Moore, her sister
Jacqueline Miranda Watson, an adopted sister Jacqueline Sims, two sons, Leon
Moore, and Lenny Moore, Jr., and her daughter Angel Moore.
She was loved by many and collected friends who felt like family along the
way.
Wanda has been a patient on dialysis for years surpassing the normal life span
of dialysis patients. She is grateful for the services provided in both the
Birmingham Fresenius dialysis unit and the Fort Wayne dialysis staff and medical
teams.
