Vickey M. Fowlkes was born on November 11, 1967 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late parents of James and Jessie Fowlkes, Vickey departed this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Vickey accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Community Baptist Church. Vickey loved music and she sung in the choir. She had a love for kids especially babies. Her smile and laughter would just warm your heart and was loved by many. She loved her (teddy bears), whenever you see Vickey, she would have about four or five bears trying to hold them all at once. Vickey had a big appetite, she loved to eat. Her favorite place was McDonald's. She will tell you that she wanted her hamburger, french fries and a chocolate shake. She will truly be missed. Leaving to cherish by her step-mother Lettie (King) Fowlkes, sisters, Sharon (Rene) Benson, Naomi Scott, step-sisters, Janine King all lives in Fort Wayne, IN, Jacyln (Natasha) King, from Indianapolis, IN. brothers David Scott, James Dewayne (Carol) Fowlkes, step-brother Jamie (Fred) King all in Fort Wayne, IN. One aunt, Mary Echols from Defiance, OH., a special uncle Lawrence King from Indianapolis, IN, and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Vickey was preceded in death by parents James and Jessie Fowlkes, sister Doris Humphrey, step-sister Jahnelle King and a great nephew Amere (Sunny) Crawford.
