Tracey McClain Obituary

Tracey M. McClain, 63, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Born on April 1, 1963, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Tracey was the beloved daughter of Frank McClain and the late Otha McClain. She later made her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she devoted herself to her family as a loving stay-at-home mother. A faithful and lifelong member of Summit City Church of Christ, Tracey cherished her faith and the community that became an important part of her life.

Tracey was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering independence, and genuine authenticity. She embraced life wholeheartedly and lived it with confidence, always remaining true to herself. Her warm conversations, heartfelt laughter, and gift for storytelling brought joy to those around her. Whether sharing updates about her life or speaking proudly of her family, Tracey had a way of making every moment meaningful.

She will be remembered for her honesty, resilience, caring spirit, and the unmistakable voice that could comfort, encourage, and brighten any room. Those who knew and loved her will forever treasure the memories she created and the love she shared.

One of Tracey's greatest gifts was her compassionate heart. She graciously opened both her home and her life to children in need, providing them with love, stability, and hope during some of their most difficult seasons. As a dedicated foster parent, she served selflessly, offering kindness, guidance, and unwavering support without expecting anything in return. Her impact on the lives of countless children will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Tracey's life was a beautiful reflection of love, strength, and service. Though she will be deeply missed, the countless lives she touched will continue to honor her memory for generations to come.

She is survived by her father, Frank H. McClain Jr.; five children, Corbin McClain, Dashia McClain, Dyaria McClain, Monae Hatcher, Niyanah McClain, all of Fort Wayne; three siblings, Michael (Kim) Bingham, Medrick (Teresa) McClain, Marlon McClain of Orlando, Fl.:five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." Her love, generosity, and authentic spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her.
