Thomas George Fields

Thomas George Fields was born on July 15, 1940, and was called to rest by God on November 30, 2023. Thomas was born to the late Sonny and Mattie Fields. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Tunicia Fields-Preston, Kimberlen (Timothy) Fields-Russell, and Shameisha Moore, and one son, LaRoy Fields, his grandchildren, Kenneth C. Hilliard, Jonathan C. Hilliard, Eric Jovan Fields, Demetrius "Meaty" Fields, Tunicia Lanee "Missy" Fields, Trea Kintz, Mathew S. Hubart, Dymond Fields, Summer Russell, Timothy Russell, Timerah Russell, Landrian Anthony Duan Trotter, Jr., BriAriah Jordan, Messiah May, Xavier May, along with a host of great-grandchildren.

Thomas accepted  Christ at an early age and he enjoyed singing for the Lord in singing groups throughout the city and gained lifetime friendships with his group members. Albert and Leon continue to carry the torch.

Thomas enjoyed being with his friends and talking old-school talk and maybe hitting a tune or two. Thomas also loved being with family and being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thomas enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and traveling after working many years and retiring from Fort Wayne Structural Steel.

Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Fields, father, Sonny Fields, and one son, Vincent Eric Fields.
