Tamika Jones

Tamika R. Jones departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Tamika was born on December 9, 1975, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late David and Jeanette Jones. She was the youngest of four sisters. Tamika was a 1994 graduate of Carrol High where she was a member of the swing choir and drama club, she also attended Brown Mackey College where she studied to be an aesthetician. Tamika professed her life to Christ at an early age and attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church as a child with her father. She later joined the New Life Church of God for several years. She served faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Stephen L. Terry. She was a member of the praise team and attended bible study and other church functions.

Tamika is a former employee of Vera Bradley where she worked for nine years. She considered her co-workers not as friends but as family.

 Tamika enjoyed playing board games, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and spending quality time with her family. She was adventurous and never afraid to try new and exciting things. Tamika was a loving, caring, and direct person, she was devoted to her family and those she considered close friends.

Tamika leaves to cherish her loving memory her three sisters, Felecia (Joe) Winn, Jackie Howard, and Denise (Alex) Tollinchi. She is preceded in death by her parents David and Jeanette Jones, her maternal grandmother(s) Annie L. Wynne, and Willie (Clarence) Thompson, and her paternal grandparents Willie Mae Jones, Lilton Jones, and Eugene Wright, and Her Uncle Donald E. Kelly.

She has two special aunts Loretta (Thomas) Masterson, Min. Dr. Rosalyn Wynne of Chattanooga, Tennessee, her uncle Willie (Vanessa) Kelly along with her special friend Arvis Boone and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
