SiYona Louise Norton was born March 20, 1972, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edward Devine Norton, Sr. and E. Louise (Holloway) Norton. She graduated from Northrop High School in 1990. She completed her earthly journey to be with the Lord, on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
SiYona, affectionately known as Sissy, LOVED HER FAMILY, ALL OF THEM! She also loved her plants, gardening, serving, and caring for others. She also enjoyed holidays, partying, and lots of family time. She worked many years at Rescare where she cared for disabled individuals. She loved spending time with her “homegirls” which she thought of as sisters who affectionately were called “My Girls” and “Catpound”. Sissy had a vibrant spirit, and it shined bright!
She gave her life to God and became a member at Oakridge Temple Church of God in Christ.
There to meet her when she arrived at her Heavenly home, was her beloved father, Edward Devine Norton, Sr., her son; Domonic Norton, siblings; Jerry Hutchinson and Deborah Norton-Mason, and god-daughter; Alonna Allison.
She leaves precious memories, her devoted and beloved mother; E. Louise Norton, her beautiful daughters; Ashley (Ramone) Haynes, Brittney (Aaron) Choice and MiYona Massie, Lauren Parham, India Patterson, Sara Bell, and Ariel Parham, her handsome sons; Marc Moore, Nickolaus McKinley, Denico Ward, Charles Parham, Jr., and Cornelius Cliett, her grandchildren, which were her joy; Brooklyn Gaines, Brandon Warden, Jr., Tony Frieson, Jr., Craig Frieson, Justus Choice, Jrue Choice, Jorja Choice, Luke Moore, Solae McKinley and Ashton McKinley, her sisters; Sonja Norton, Deborah Rogers, Tamara Norton-Fair, Trinette Thomas, Angela Presley and Valerie Tibbs, brothers; Edward Norton, Jr., Steven Norton, Darryl Hatfield, Geoffrey Norton, Eric Johnson, and Timothy (Misty) Hughes, Jr., aunts; Gertrude Knox and Patty Reese, her god-sisters; Katrina Allen, Krya Smith, god-brother; William Allen Jr., god-children; Chilynn Vaughn, Angelique Webb, Michael Starks, Keylen Webb, Jordan Presley, Hailee Allison, Deliane Woodfin, Makayla Link, and Lucinda Crawford. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Sissy will be sorely missed by all paths she crossed.
