Shirley Lee Underwood (Rile), age 65, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and strength.
Shirley was born to Virginia Royal (Crawford) and James Rile in Richmond, Indiana. She was the baby girl of six children.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She was devoted to her three sons, two granddaughters, and her granddog.
She found happiness in spending time with her children, grandchildren, granddog, and her sister Gladys. She also enjoyed shopping, writing scriptures from her Bible, writing down recipes, watching cooking shows, and YouTube videos.
She dedicated 20 years working at the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center.
She will be remembered for her 15-year fight against cancer and the love she had for her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Keeman (April) Rile, Tykell Underwood, and Curtis Underwood, Jr.; two granddaughters, Keiara Rile and Jada Striverson; a granddog, Tank; and three siblings, Claudia Davenport, Glady Rhine, and Carl Rile.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Rile, her mother, Virginia Royal (Crawford), a sister, Theresa Rile, and brother James Rile, Sr.
