Shirley Childs

Shirley Childs was born on July 7, 1946 in Bryan Brazil County, Texas to Earnest Newton and Thelma Johnson Thornton. She left this earthly life on December 14, 2024.

 She worked at Alvarado Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and having a cold one and her cigarettes. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and she loved her kids. She loved her fish and birds. Her favorite color was purple and she always put God first in her life.

She has three surviving children and one deceased son. She has 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is survived by Leandra Childs, Naomi Childs, Billy Childs, Connie Scott, Jessica Lindsey. She has one great-grandchild in Heaven with her, Xavier Fleming. Her grandchildren; Joe Childs, Julie Childs, Star Child, Jovante Nowden, Melnisha Fleming, Melvin Fleming, Anthony, and Navin Fleming.
