Sallie "Jean" Scott Darby Wacasey

Sallie "Jean" Scott Darby Wacasey was born on January 14, 1945 in Marion, Alabama to Astoria Billingsley Scott and Willie Scott. She departed this life on April 20, 2025.

After spending her early childhood in Marion, Alabama, she moved with her parents to Fort Wane, Indiana sometime in the early 1950's. After growing up in Fort Wayne and graduating from Central High School, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio.

Sallie lived most of her life in Cleveland and worked for the United States Postal Service. Sallie moved back to Fort Wayne to care for her mother as her health began to decline. Sallie enjoyed playing Bingo and going shopping. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters, Claudia (Mark) McGraw, Mildred (Frank) Carter, her brothers, Clyde Scott, Claude Scott, and Michael Morton, and cousin, Winfred (Cara) Billingsley, along with a host of relatives and friends.

Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Michael Darby, and her late husband, Charles Wacasey.
