Ruthie Jean Ellis

Ruthie Jean Ellis, 59, was born December 27, 1960 to Archie Sr. and Ophelia Ellis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ruthie loved to play bingo and hanging with her friends, and family. She especially loved visiting her sister in Detroit, Michigan. She loved dancing, singing, and having a good time. Ruthie was the backbone of the family. She was always there to give a helping hand.

Ruthie retired from Indiana State Developmental Center (State School) after several years of dedication as a cook.

Ruthie leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Shenetra Ellis, Tiana Ellis, and Tyrone Lawrence, her grandchildren; Pre’Nashe Butler, Tre’Vion Crews, Terrell Crews, and Tavaeh Lawrence, one great-grandchild; Javious Curry, Jr., her significant other; Corey Cooper, sisters; Brenda Lee, Linda Ellis, Jeanette Ellis, Barbara (Grady) Anderson, Henrietta (Terry) Cheeks, brothers; Jesse Ellis and Sgt. Alfred Ellis.
