Obituary

Roy Lee McNeil was born March 22, 1950, in Tuscaloosa Alabama. He was the son of Rosetta Shaffer Holifield and Willie McNeil. Roy moved to Fort Wayne Indiana in 1972 where he shortly met his wife Michelle. Roy was a member of First National Baptist Church where Howard Starks, Sr. is the pastor. Roy worked at Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo for 10 years then he started at the Plex where he recently retired. He was preceded in death by his wife Michelle McNeal, mother, Rosetta Shaffer Holifield, aunt Mary Alice Wilkins, and his father Willie McNeil. Roy leaves to cherish his memory, sister Rosie (Pastor Howard Starks), special cousins, Ruby (Donald Hughes), nieces, Katina (Rev. David Washington) and Wanda Tanner, nephews, Jeremiah Starks and Howard (Emily Starks), a godson, Ketron Paschal, and a goddaughter, Shaniyah Starks, a special friend, Wilbur Lee Starks, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, in-laws, work family and church family.
