Rose Ann Booker was born February 10, 1954 in Newbie, AL. She moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 1958. She graduated from Northside High School and later graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with her Associates in Computer Science. Rose was a remarkable woman. She loved spending time with all of her family, especially her mother. Rose dedicated the last 10 years of her life to her mother. It was a great honor for her to do so as she called her mother her “Best Friend”. Growing up she had one brother which she loved dearly. She loved to hang out with her cousins (Rocky, Bird, and Bonnie) they were more like sister’s to her! Rose had some good friends in her life that became more like family throughout all their years of friendship. She cherished her sons more than anything and later on in life came her 6 grandchildren which were like her kids to her as well! She loved traveling with her mother, playing cards, cooking, having family gatherings, watching her favorite TV shows, and listening to music! She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Shirley Derrick, father, Oscar Derrick, grandparents, Lucy Jane Booker, Joe Booker, aunt, Juanita Booker, and two cousins Ernest Booker, Shaqua Booker. Rose leaves to cherish in her memory her sons, Javonne (Chantal) Booker, Jerome Booker, Brother, William (Marsha) Booker, Niece, Hombreshia Pinkston, grandchildren, Aalijah Booker, Javonne Booker, Jr., Iyana Booker, Kaniya Booker, Javion Booker, Jaleiyl Booker, five great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
