Odie Malone, Sr. Obituary

Odie John Malone was born July 7, 1941 in Waterford, Mississippi to the late Will C. Malone and Millie Mae Booth Malone. He accepted Christ at an early age. Odie was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and he was on the prayer board. He attended school at Hamilton Chapel in Mississippi. He quit to go to work at an early age. He migrated to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1961 where he met Margaret Spencer and they united in holy matrimony in 1966. 

Odie worked various production jobs and worked at at Matel (Powerwheels) for eight years until his health began to decline. He was a God fearing man who loved church and loved God. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards and he really enjoyed eating. Most of all he loved watching and taking care of his grandchildren.

Odie leaves to cherish his memory, eight children; Timothy Bell and Mark Bell of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Odie Malone, Jr., of Detroit, Michigan, Carl Malone of Hernando, Mississippi, Andre Spencer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Spencer Benson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Johnathon Benson of Fort Wayne, Indiana and one daughter; Michelle Hill of Fort Wayne, Indiana, three sisters; Catherine Coleman, Osie Jones, and Dannie (Roosevelt) Johnson along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Odie was preceded in death by his parents; Will C. and Millie Malone, his wife; Margaret L. Spencer Malone, three Sisters; Maggie Bexely, Nellie Frazier, and Wyomie Malone, two brothers; Kent and Will Jr., Malone, and mother-in-law; Beatrice Spencer.
