On August 4, 2023, a beautiful spirit, a rose, heart of Gold and a smile so bright. One that we love so dearly you touched so many. Nikki Richelle Douglas is at peace with God and rejoicing in her heavenly home and gone to gain her greatest reward.
Nikki Richelle Douglas was born on September 16, 1972, in West Point, Mississippi to Birtyce Dean and Jessie James Cooperwood. She was the 4th oldest out of six children. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Pisgah Waverly Missionary Baptist Church in West Point, Ms. She graduated from West Point High School in 1990 in West ‘Point, Ms. She later relocated her family to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Nikki worked most of her life in service to others and was very dedicated to the work she did. She worked at Woodview Manor for many years. She later worked at JC Penney for 10+ years. During her time at JC Penney, her achievements ranked her as top sales agent on numerous occasions. She could sale a person anything by the time she got done talking. She went on to get her Business Degree from Indiana Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she achieved her bachelor's degree in 2005. She worked at Frontier Communications for 7 years and during that time frame she received several rewards along with trips for her achievements. She later went to Bright Point where she was currently employed.
Nikki truly lived life to the fullest though, simple pleasures, chatting with family and friends and stirring up the pot. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She would go above and beyond even if she didn’t have it. She loved spending time with family, traveling, shopping, decorating, cleaning, cooking, laughing and always wearing that big Kool-Aid smile with her pearly whites. She could brighten up a room with her beautiful smile and exquisite style whenever she entered. Not knowing what petty comment or smart remark was about to come out her mouth. Nikki was a loving and caring spirit, fun, outgoing, kind, compassionate, down to earth, devoted mother, grandmother and friend always thinking of others first. To know her was to love her.
