Nicole Louise (Mattox) Parrish

Nicole “Nicki” Louise Parrish was born on September 14, 2000 in Fort Wane, Indiana. She is the daughter of Ona Mattox and Dorris Merriweather, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Nicole professed her faith to Jesus Christ at the early age of twelve. She joined and was baptized at Victory Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor David Moore.

Nicole graduated from Snider High School and later attended Ivy Tech where she studied phlebotomy, dental assisting, and finally received an Associates Degree as a Medical Assistant. She worked at Parkview Walk-in Clinic. During high school, Nicole “Nicki”, was in the Snider High School Marching Band and the Color Guards.

Nicole leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Ona Mattox, father, Dorris Merriweather, III, one son, Daniel “DJ” Parrish, one daughter, My’liyah Parrish, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana, four brothers, Douglas Mattox, Terris Morris, Dajuan Harris, and DyTwane Merriweather all Fort Wayne, Indiana, two sisters, Tiara Morris of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Indiana, her grandparents, Mary (Ralph) Mattox, Brenda Richardson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Grandma “Kita” of Leo, Indiana, her fiance’ Joshua Aaron Whalen of Fort Wayne, Indiana, godparents, Kirk (Kim) Davis of Leo, Indiana. 

Nicole was preceded in death by her son Brycen Antonio Whalen, grandparents, Ralph Douglas Mattox of Georgia, Sim (Ona) Moore of Alabama, Walter (Sara Odessa) Mattox of Athens, Georgia, Dorris Merriweather, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Johnie Sr. (Edna) Richardson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dorris Sr, (Ruby) Merriweather of Fort Wayne, Indiana along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family members and friends.

Baby Brycen Antonio Whalen was the son of Nicole and Joshua. He will always be loved and cherished by is father, Joshua Aaron Whalen, Penelope, Jamari, Javoni, and his grandmothers, Leslie Johnson and Ona Mattox along with a host of other relatives and friends.
