On July 7, 1983 a star was born to Mia Gray and Eugene Chapman, Jr. She was named Nashondra LaMia Gray. She was full of life and loved to speak her truth. Nashondra gave her life to God at an early age. She attended the Potter’s House Church under the leadership of Rev. James K. Thomas. She later became
a member of Fort Wayne Christian Center under the leadership of the late
Pastor Ron Rutlegde and Cookye Rutledge.
She reunited with the Potter’s House Church in March of 2020. She attended Wayne High School and later received her GED from Anthis Career Center. She
loved to travel and always wanted to try new things.
Nashondra leaves to cherish her loving memory, her three daughters; Makenzie, Riley, and Itali, two sons; Nylehn and
Xymiree, her loving father, Eugene Chapman. Four sisters;
Ashley, Kashae, India, and Alexis, three brothers; Antwaine, Dametrick, and Aaron, she also leaves behind a host of nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins along with her best friend
of 20 years Nikki Winder. Nashondra departed this life on July 29, 2020 at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother Mia Gray and grandfather Eugene Chapman, Sr. She will be truly missed.
