Mary Ann Thomas was called home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2023, at the age of 78. She was born on March 14, 1945, in Fort Wayne, IN. to the late Nathan and Classie Collins Blevins. She was the 2nd oldest child of 11 children born to their union. She married Joseph “Joe” Herman Thomas Sr. from Mount Sterling, KY. on March 13, 1975, and to this union two children were born. Mary Ann accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Chestley Witt, at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member and also sang in the choir. Mary Ann loved spending time with family, especially her sisters. Mary and her sister’s favorite past time was listening to music, reminiscing about the good ole days, playing cards, Pokeno and other games of which Mary Ann, being a fierce competitor, would often emerge as the winner. She leaves to cherish and honor her memory two children, Joseph H. Thomas Jr.(Jackie) and Aletha A. Thomas Douglas (Ricardo), five granddaughters, Quatesha Woods (Melvin), Johanna Thomas, Miyah Thomas, Aaliyah Thomas Douglas, and Riniyah Thomas Douglas; three Grandsons, Joseph Golden, Darius Thomas and Dayshawn Thomas Douglas, four sisters, Sylvia (Jessie) Baker, Ilene (Dock) Lee, Rositta “Linda” Hamilton, and Emma Humphrey, brother-in-law Terry Lymon, six great grand-children, several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who loved her. Mary will be welcomed at the Pearly Gates by her parents, Nathan and Classie Blevins, grandmother, Mary Simmons, brother Sammie Lee Blevins, two sisters, Mary Lee Blevins and Doreen Lymon; one grandson Dartanyon Oneil Thomas, and one brother-in-law, Charles Humphrey.
