“A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong” Mary Louise Green (May) was born April 20, 1951, in Centreville Alabama, and was the eldest of four children. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Church of God and Christ, where she remained until her passing. Mary’s most infamous response any time of any day, even during the most trying times was, “I’m just thinking on the greatness of God.”
Mary united in holy matrimony with Lee C. Green on September 03, 1976. To that union, there were born three children; Mark A. Green, Monte Smith, and Cory Green, all reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mary was fortunate enough to be a grandmother (in every sense of the word) and a great grandmother.
Mary retired from ITT (now known as L3Harris) after being employed there for 43 years. Mary enjoyed family, friends, eating and shopping. She was happiest when those whom she loved were happy. She was selfless, kind, patient, and caring.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Sadie Suttle by one day, her brother Michael Suttle, her sister-in-law Diane Suttle and her great-granddaughter Royale Holloway. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Lee C. Green, sons; Mark and Cory Green and Monte Smith (Cassandra); grandchildren Malcolm-Jamaul (Shamari) Jones, JaShan Hargrave, Preoshia (Tyrell)-Jones, Jamarcus Underwood, Tevin Dawson, Hajirah Green, Preston Green, Aiden Reuille, Jovon, and Johona Jones, Monte Jr., Monet, Monterious, Chloe and Malaya Smith, and great-grandchildren Royce, Messiah Jones, J.J. Kelly, Tr’Chell, Tamora, Toriah and Trinity Jones; siblings; Julia Parker and Les Patricia Wattley; special sisters, Larraine Nelson, Carla Noel, Rochelle (Rommel) Dickey, and Shirley Edmonds, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relative and friends
