Marvin Earl Hamilton Sr. affectionately known as “Pumpkin” was born on October 6,1952 to Effie and Earmis Hamilton in Caruthersville Missouri. The family relocated to Fort Wayne Indiana in May 1966. Marvin gave his life to God at an early age. He moved to Seattle Washington before settling in St. Louis with his sisters and brother.
Marvin departed this earthly life on May 1, 2025, surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Effie and Earmis Hamilton, two brothers Ronnie W. Hamilton and Earmis Hamilton Jr. one sister Sarah B. Hamilton one sister-in-love Elaine Hamilton one nephew Lorenzo Hamilton and one niece Ronita Hamilton
Marvin returned home to Fort Wayne Indiana after retiring from Bob Evens. To know him was to love him. Pumpkin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends cracking jokes, telling old family stories, playing cards, and watching sports especially Baseball.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Marvin E. Hamilton Jr (Ft Wayne, Indiana); one daughter Teshana Fly (Champagne, Illinois); five sons-in-love Mel Reed, Daquan Aikens, Zaquan Aikens, Jaques Aikens (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) and Micheal Johnson (Champagne, Illinois); two daughters in-love Sheena and Nikki James (Omaha, Nebraska) and Laquita Johnson(Champagne, Illinois); two sisters Patrica Loggins and Denise Hamilton ( Ft. Wayne Indiana); two brothers Andre Hamilton ( Ft. Wayne, Indiana) and Thomas(Gail) Hamilton(California) As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
