Lucille Mollison Obituary

Lucille began her life's journey on November 26, 1925 in Union, Mississippi. Elmo and Florence (Wash) Lewis parented six children and Lucille was their only daughter. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Newton, Mississippi, and boasted frequently about wearing pretty dresses and gloves and sitting with her maternal grandmother in the front of the church. The family moved to Indiana when Lucille was a teenager. 

Lucille was married to Luther Wallace, Sr. and Charlie Mollison, Sr. They both preceded her in death. 

Lucille's many years of employment were spent at Parkview Hospital, US Rubber Co., Magnavox Corp, and ITT, Inc., from which she retired.

Lucille was a former member of Union Baptist Church of Fort Wayne. She later became a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church of Fort Wayne under the leadership of Pastor John Dixie, Sr. She was a very active member of PBC, serving on the Nurses Auxiliary, the Missionary Auxiliary, and the Senior Choir. She loved to travel and attend the National Baptist Convention's annual session. 

Lucille was an active member of: Church of Women United; OES, Scottish Rite affiliation; IBPOEW (Elks); and IOOF (Oddfellows).

Lucille leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters; Gail Littlejohn and Stephanie D. Lawson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Florence Elaine Pierce and Cheryl L. Wallace of Tyler, Texas, son; Luther Wallace, Jr., Larry Wallace, Willis Lawson, and Jessie Carl Lawson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Virgil L. Wallace of Federal Way, Washington, Shelby Board, Jr., of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Reginald Wash of Chicago, Illinois. Her family includes 39 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and 69 great-great-grandchildren and many more relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, , 2 daughters, Beverly A. Jackson, and Vivian Jerrall; 2 sons, Elmo Shawn and Roland B. Lawson, and 5 brothers, Wallace Wash, Jessie, Felton, Willie, and Jim Lewis.
