Lori Yvette (Moore) Howard

Lori Yvette Howard, 53, of Indianapolis, gained her wings and went on to be with the Lord on September 1, 2023, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Lori was born on December 13, 1969, to Welton Moore, Jr. and Ruthell Stanford in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After Lori graduated from Paul Harding High School in 1988, she went on to study Accounting at Indiana University Bloomington.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, she started her first job at VNS as a Staff Accountant, kickstarting her 20+ year career in Accounting.

In college, Lori met the love of her life, Keith Howard, at Indiana University Bloomington. Lori and Keith wed in 1996 and went on to have beautiful twin daughters, Cameryn and Kyla Howard.

In 2022, Lori completed her Master of Science in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Lori was a vibrant spirit who enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughters, and family. She was an avid runner who participated in many marathons. She was a member of Eastern Star Church and served in the Greeters Ministry. In addition, Lori devoted her free time to volunteering for a number of organizations including School on Wheels and Executive Women in Finance.

Lori was predeceased by her father Welton Moore, Jr. Lori leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Keith Howard; her daughters, Cameryn Howard, and Kyla Howard; her mother, Ruthell (Michael) Stanford; her sister, Dawn Moore; her step-brother, Stephen Stanford; her in-laws, Larry and Shirley Howard; her sister-in-law, Nikki Milligan; her brother-in-law, Craig Howard; and, a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be held at New Zion Tabernacle, 1835 Spring St., Fort Wayne, IN 46808 on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11am (viewing at 10am).
