Linda Kay Woods was born on December 5, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Armistice Phillips and Mildred Richardson Goldsby. She departed her earthly home on September 9, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She attended Southside High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and later pursued her certification in Cosmetology. Linda worked at Phelps Dodge for twenty-plus years where she later retired.
Linda accepted Christ at an early age and attended Shiloh Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and served on several ministries. In 1976 she was united in holy matrimony to Tony Woods and to this union, one son Julian Lamar Woods was born. She was later engaged to Robert Grady.
Linda had a passion and love for ALL children and she was affectionally known as "Meme" and "Titi". Linda was the family’s photographer and was there for every event taking pictures and capturing every memorable moment. She never forgot a birthday and you were sure to receive a card or a shout-out on Facebook on your special day.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory, one son Julian Lamar Woods of Norcross, Georgia; Two grandchildren Kajan Jamari Woods and Alysa NeShay Woods both of Hampton, Georgia; Three Sisters Orca Jean Davis of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marsha Tabron of Dunwoody, Georgia, and Brenda Fuqua of Indianapolis, Indiana. Extended Family Michael and Bridget Fakaros and Micheline Aboite; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, other relatives’ family, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Armistice Phillips and Midred and Norwood Goldsby; sister, Cynthia Ann Wilkins; and her fiancé Robert Grady.
