Leer Thomas Jenkins was born in Tyler, Alabama on August 2, 1950 to the late Sam Jenkins and Clara Harris Jenkins.
Lee moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1965. He attended Central High School, then later went to The Job Corps where he received his certificate as a heavy equipment operator.
Lee confessed his life to Christ at Isabell Baptist Church in Tyler, Alabama.
Lee moved to Chicago, Illinois then moved back to Fort Wayne, Indiana where he retired from Pepsi Cola Company after thirty-nine years of service.
Lee departed this life on March 20, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. He leaves to mourn his special son; Contrell McCarter and special daughter; Latisha McCarter, siblings; George (Pearl) Harris, Henry Kelly, Fannie White, Eula (Jim) Moore, Sam (Victoria) Jenkins, Jr., Shelly, Charles, Michael, Carolyn (Terry) Ford, seven step-brothers and step-sisters, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, grandkids, cousins, and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Sam Jenkins, Sr., his mother; Clara Jenkins, stepmother; Sara Jenkins, brothers; Robert Harris, Robert Kelly, and Fredrick Jenkins and his sister; Lillie Jenkins.
