Larry Edgar Parrish

Larry Parrish was born to the late Fred and Mable Parrish on September 30, 1952, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Mack, and grandmother Beatrice Martin and four brothers, Jessie J. Parrish, Michael Parrish, Freddie Mack Parrish, and Rev. Harry Parrish, one sister, Vickie Jean Parrish, one niece, Kimberly “Nette” Parrish, and one nephew, Terrell “Popcorn” Underwood.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He joined Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center under the current leadership of Pastor Harold Johnson.
Larry retired from Dana Incorporated with over 30 years of service.

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, an angel was called by God to return home, marking the moment it was time for him to leave this world. Larry met the love of his life, Gail Starks of 50 years, he leaves to cherish 4 daughters in his memories, Cathy (Earl Jr.) Folks, Danielle Curry, Ebony (Gene Jr.) Lapsley, Kizzy Starks, twelve grandchildren, Lacy Curry, Jr., Sydney Curry, Carrington Hogue, Laquisha Hogue, JaCoby Hogue, Dominick Hogue, C.J. Hogue, Earlnesha Folks, Gene Lapsley, III, Kazman Lapsley, Jajuan Starks, and Kierra Starks, and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was the fifth of ten siblings and is survived by three brothers and one sister, William (Johnnie Mae) Parrish of Chicago, IL, Bertha Mae Underwood of Greensboro, AL, Ronnie (Jackie) Martin of Birmingham, AL, and Ricky Parrish of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by one uncle, Willie Shepard  of Newbern, AL, three in-laws, Odell Parrish of Birmingham, Al, Faye Parrish of Fort Wayne, IN., Fannie Parrish of Marion, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
