LaDonna Alain (Yates) Robertson

LaDonna Alain (Yates) Robertson passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2022. LaDonna had 4 sisters: Melvina Yates, Tracy Yates, Tomorrow Yates, and Candace Yates. Along with 2 brothers; Clinton Kurt Yates and Raymond Chris Yates Sr. LaDonna attended East St. Louis Senior High School and was an Honor Roll student all through Elementary to High school. 
She was married to Reginald Robertson on June 6, 1988 (34 years). LaDonna had 8 kids and loved each and every one of them with all her heart. 
She was independent at a very young age and worked hard her whole life. She sacrificed much and gave her all in everything she did, she was a very, very strong woman. 
LaDonna battled health problems for many, many years. Her health was always a roller coaster, but she kept a smile, a good heart, and her faith and stayed so strong and brave through it all, she was a survivor and a fighter. She always knew God was on her side to help her get through 
She loved getting up early and starting her day off with a clean house, good gospel music, and smooth jazz with food was always cooking. 
LaDonna loved to cook and keep a clean house, and she loved to do things such as go to the park and barbeque, when the day was nice, she loved to go grill out with family. 
Her favorite colors were yellow, purple, and red and she loved yellow tulips. LaDonna loved to always smell good anywhere she went and she always loved to look good no matter where she went. Her hair was always done too. LaDonna knew the importance of church and spending time with God, she would attend church every Sunday. She always kept God in her life ever since she was little. LaDonna had a heart of gold and treated everyone with respect and kindness. She always forgave others as she knew the Lord wants us to do. She had an infectious smile and laugh that could warm your heart. 
Ladonna leaves behind 8 children; Cortez Alexander (Trumarkus), Ciara Alexander, Precious Alexander (Chambria), Adrian Mable, Brandon Mable, Kendall Robertson, Shamira Robertson, and Sterling Robertson, along with 5 Grandchildren; Nalaya Alexander, Aamir Alexander, Kendrick Robertson, Khalil Robertson, and Kingston Leigh Mable.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Alice Townsend, and her oldest sister Melvina Yates.
Her legacy will live on through her children as well as the rest of her family. She will truly be missed.
