LET'S NOT FORGET HIS FAVORITE SAYING
YO YO YO YO YOO ITS IS-REAL
Kevin L. Jones, the only son of the late Tom L. & Marion V. Jones, was born on March 5, 1958, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On April 28th, while at home, the Lord called him home.
Kevin confessed his life to Christ on March 5, 1972, at Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John Dixie, Pastor. Kevin became a member of the International F. & A.M. Masons and Order of Eastern Star in 1979. He earned 2 Associate's Degrees, in Business & Marketing in 1980, & was a salesman at heart. Kevin was a well-liked and a fun-loving man with a unique outlook on life. Kevin’s infectious laugh & zest for life touched everyone he met. He would talk your ear off and wouldn’t let you get a word in; you just had to sit & listen. Kevin's life was a testament to the joy of living fully and enthusiastically embracing each day. His unique perspective & the unwavering words he spoke when he talked about the bible were a source of inspiration to many. Kevin’s family & friends were the center of his world, & he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Kevin is survived by his only daughter, Tanisha R. Scott of FT. Wayne, IN, two sons, Calvin L Jones of Ft. Wayne IN & Kesonn Lee of Indianapolis IN. Three sisters, Valerie (Larry) Norwood, Tomika Jones-Brown, both of Ft. Wayne and Tylaya Hosley of San Diego, CA. Five grandchildren: Destiny Robinson, Ayden Johnson, Amya Jones, Andrea and Kavian Gomillia and one Great Grand, Desmon Robinson-Davis, and a host of nieces (favorite/Lashira Norwood) and nephews. Kevin was proceeded in death by his parents, Tom & Marion (Thomas) Jones, grandparents Tony & Virginia (Fitts) Jones, David & Sallie Mae (Powers) Thomas, niece/nephew Riley & Issac Fincher, and a special friend Andrea Williams
God saw you were getting weak, so he did what he thought was best, he came and stood beside you & whispered come, take your rest. We couldn’t understand it, no matter how hard we tried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have left. You gave no one a last farewell nor even a goodbye; you were gone before we knew it, and we never had a chance to say goodbye, but you will always hold a special place in my heart. Love your daughter, Tanisha.
