In Loving Memory of Kenneth Dewon Hollins

Kenneth Dewon Hollins, affectionately known as “Kenny G,” was born on August 6, 1987, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Denise Hamilton and Kenneth Hollins Sr. He departed this earthly life on August 15, 2026.

In 2000, Kenny moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his mother, Denise, to be closer to family. Although St. Louis would always hold a special place in his heart, Fort Wayne became his home and the place where he continued to build lasting relationships and memories.

Kenny attended high school in St. Louis before later earning his GED. At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Kingdom Door Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Harold Johnson.

Throughout his life, Kenny worked a variety of warehouse positions. He was last employed with Dana Corporation, where he worked until 2025.

Kenny G was truly one of a kind. He was the life of the party and had an infectious personality that could light up any room. He lived life on his own terms and never tried to be anyone other than himself. Kenny had a heart for his family and close friends and would move mountains for the people he loved.

He was a natural storyteller, and if you knew Kenny, you knew that one of his stories could take you anywhere! He talked so fast and in so many circles that sometimes you might only understand a quarter of what he was saying—but somehow, you always knew exactly what he meant. His laughter, personality, stories, and unmistakable way of being will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

To know Kenny was to love Kenny. His presence was unforgettable, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Kenny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earmis and Effie Hamilton; uncles, Earmis Hamilton Jr. (Evelene), Ronnie Hamilton Sr. (Deloris), and Marvin Hamilton; and aunt, Sarah B. Hamilton.

He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy: his loving mother, Denise Hamilton; his father, Kenneth Hollins Sr.; his beloved son, Devon Julillerat-Hamilton; uncles, Andre Hamilton (Elaine) and Thomas Hamilton (Gail); aunt, Patricia Loggins; along with a host of cousins, extended family members, loved ones, and friends.

Kenny also leaves behind special friendships with Art, Earl, John, and Depre Cannon, and Will special cousins, Khalid, Khalil, and Jahlil Hamilton, who shared many unforgettable moments and memories with him.

Though Kenny’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love, laughter, stories, and memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
