Karen Walker was born July 27, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Willie and Fannie Mae Walker (Tims).

She accepted Christ on May 14, 1970, under the leadership of the late Reverend McKinley Kizer.

Karen was a devoted sister and aunt who took care of many of her nieces and nephews at some point in their lives. She had a special relationship with each one of her eight sisters and her three brothers. She enjoyed and was great at drawing, making and crocheting quilts and has provided one to family members. She also enjoyed watching sports and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved to dance. She was the life and comedian of any party and family gathering she ever attended. When Tupac came on everyone knew Karen was on the dance floor.

She leaves behind to cherish many funny and loving memories. She will be missed dearly by her sisters, Mary L. Beasley, Rosie L. Morris, Willie Lenia Walker, Everleana Walker, twin,, Sharon Waters, Elizabeth Walker, Stella (Michael) Kizer,, and Dameita L. Walker all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brothers, Claver (Shanta) Walker of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lawrence Walker of Marion, Indiana, longtime companion, Jerry “Frog” Underwood, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and several other loving relatives, childhood friend, Alice, and Doobie.
