Jojuana (Phoenix) Oldham

Jojuana “Jo” Phoenix Oldham July 5, 1944 – May 11, 2026 Jojuana “Jo” Phoenix Oldham, lovingly known as “Jo,” transitioned peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on July 5, 1944, in Missouri, she was one of four children born to the late Robert Edward Phoenix Sr. and Georgia Mea Miller-Richardson. Jojuana later made her home in Fort Wayne, where she worked as a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) before retiring. Throughout her life, she was known for her vibrant spirit, creativity, and love for people. She enjoyed dancing, singing, traveling, skating, crocheting blankets for family members, baking, and making homemade candy for the family during holiday season. She was also a writer for The Frost newspaper and a proud business owner. Jojuana even had the opportunity to serve as secretary for Republican Mayor Dan Coats. Above all, Jojuana cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her love, laughter, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Latoyna Woods-Imler, Zondra Fuller-Henderson, Ebbie (Valerie) Clark, and Christopher Clark; grandchildren: Shelia Hinton, Markita Spears, Shirlene Spears, Jojuana Mayo, Darrin Spears, Cynthia Fuller, TJ Fuller, Tyree Mitchell, Randale Morris, Ebbie Clark Jr., Odessey Clark, Destany Clark, Donavon Carr, Christopher Clark, Nico Soto, and Christian Clark. Blessed with several Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Alice Wims-Lee, Cortney Phoenix, Tony (Vervia) Richardson, BB Richardson, and Allen Richardson. Jojuana was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Oldham; her parents, Robert Edward Phoenix Sr. and Georgia Mea Miller-Richardson; her brother, Robert Phoenix Jr.; her sister, Marion Macon-Blackburn; and her granddaughter, Tariney Woods. A Celebration of Life will be held in July 2026. Details will be announced at a later date.
