JerMorris “Shorty” Sewell was born on June 19, 1983 to Annette Sewel and Booker T. Davis in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Lord called him home November 16, 2024. JerMorris confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at True Love Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Jessie White.
In Jermorris’ latter years, he decided to leave Fort Wayne and move to Columbus, Ohio where he worked at Saltbox Warehousing & Logistics in Dublin, Ohio.
JerMorris didn’t enter this world alone, he was the first of two. First came JerMorris then came JerMarris (Shorty & Fattie).
Jermorris leaves to cherish his memory; his companion, Eilleen Garrett of Fort Wayne, Indiana, five sons, JerMorris, Jr., Isiah Sewell, Isreal, Isaac Morgan, and Tony Azangweo, two daughters, Sariah White and Jerzayh Ty Sewell, mother, Annette (Darrell) Williams, father, Booker T. (Karine Brooks) Davis, Jr., brothers, Booker, Antonio Sewell, Darrell, III, Joseph, Jamarcus, JaMone, and Dendra Williams, Derrick Pinkston, Zakary and Destined Davis, Isaiah Giveins, sisters, Diamond Williams, Sharela Shorter, Tiffany, Taylor, and Korina Davis, God-sister, Lamisha Yates, special niece, Iyarni Moore, grandmother, Cora Jordan, grandchildren, Zavion and Zion Sewell, Santana, Esisance and Silas Morgan, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jermorris was preceded in death by his brothers; Darrell Pinkston, Jemrarris Sewell, and Kayrel Benson, grandparents, Dorothy Sewell, Clancy D. Starks, J.W. Driver, and Charlie and Dorothy Williams, and Booker T. Davis, Sr.
