James E. Lowery, Sr.

James E. Lowery Sr., 87, of Fort Wayne Indiana passed away on November 8, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on September 29, 1936, in Newbern Alabama to the late Joseph, Sr. and Fannie Lowery. He worked over 35 years in the construction trade.  James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary W. Lowery, sons James II (Jennifer) Lowery, Dumond (Juliet) Lowery, Dante (Lesley) Lowery, sisters Fannie Mitchell, Julie Brabson, Florine Harris, and Paula Winn, and brothers William C. Lowery and Richard Lowery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, between 10:00am and 11:00am at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2421 S. Hanna Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Funeral services immediately following.
