Gregory Greene Obituary

Gregory Alan Greene AKA "Main" was born on September 19, 1959, the 7th child of eight children to the late Emma Lois Greene and Walter J Greene in 'fort Wayne, Indiana. On February 21, 2021 he departed his earthly home and entered his Eternal Heavenly Home.

Gregory was a strong man with a gentle peaceful spirit. He graduated from South Side High School; Fort Wayne, Indiana, class of 1978. While in High School, he was employed part-time at Lutheran Hospital when he decided to take a temporary leave of absence and entered the military. He served from 1978-1982 receiving an honorable discharge as a Sargent (E-5).

On May 20, 1996, he was employed by FXI formally known as Foamex in Auburn, Indiana, until he became ill in April 2020.

Gregory married Tanishia King, September 18, 2009. He was an ambitious and industrious hard worker that supported and loved his family. His hobbies included but not limited to, the restoration of antique automobiles and cars, gardening and landscaping. 

Gregory leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Tanishia, his children; Ebony, Teryle, BreAnna. Alanna and Jeremy, brother-in-law Ronnel King, God-sister Sonya Cable, nephew Cordeiro Lawson, siblings; Walter Mae Jackson, Judy Whittaker (James), Sandra Wright, Bobby (Connie), Larry, Sharon and Myrna Greene, a special nephew Adrian Wright, god-brother Pete Wattley, two close childhood friends; Charles Bolton(Taps) Oklahoma City, OK and Deadrick White, Memphis, TN, nieces, nephews and aunts, along with a host of beloved relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Emma Lois Greene and Walter J. Greene, sister Annie Louise Greene, mother-in-law Sarah Ann Rogers. sisters-in-law Angeletha King and Linda Greene, nephew Jason Greene, and two close friends Jeffery Rackstraw and Norvel Waxton.
