Freddie "Simp" Powers

Freddie “Simp” Powers was born April 16, 1957, to the late Frank and Charlotte (Fields) Powers.  He was one of seven children, five of whom preceded him in death.  He departed this life on Friday, October 14, 2022, at home.

Simp was a man who loved to dance, cook, and enjoy life.  He was a kind man with a great heart, helped others when he was able, and had a great sense of humor.  

Simp leaves to celebrate his life: Mother of his children, Cindy Virges; two sons, Coron (Lawanda) and Damian Virges; one daughter, Tekelia Virges (Samuel Cook); one brother, James Powers; eight grandchildren, Darius Virges, Armando Robles, Tarockus Jackson, Demetrius Clowers, Treyvon Jackson, Deaira Virges, Deija Virges, and Damian Virges Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Ky’Ayla Virges and Darius Virges Jr., and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
