Frances confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Galilee Baptist Church where she remained dedicated and devoted until her moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Upon her arrival to Fort Wayne, Indiana she became a member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Jesse White. She later moved her membership to Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael Nicholson. Frances remained at Mount Calvary as a faithful member until departure. Frances knew God had some wonderful plans for her life. During her life she was able to graduate from Fairfield Industrial High School in Fairfield, Alabama; attend and graduate from Miles College with an Associate Degree in business.

Frances was later introduced to the man that she ended up marrying, Richard L. Rogers. They were united in holy matrimony on April 19, 1974.
