Felecia M. Winn peacefully departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Born on March 22, 1960, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Jeanette Jones and Richard Woods, she was the eldest of four siblings and a proud graduate of Elmhurst High School in 1979. Felecia devoted her life to Christ at an early age, guided by the late Pastor Otha Aden at Southern Heights Baptist Church. She later became a Unity Worship Center member under former Pastor Joey Simpson. In 2016, she retired from a decade-long tenure at All-State Legal.
Felecia was known for her stylish hair, passion for cooking, and enjoyment of watching basketball with her favorite snack—popcorn, Felecia cherished hosting family functions alongside her beloved husband, Joe.
Left to honor her memory are her husband of 42 years, Clayton "Joe" Winn, her daughter Tash L. Winn, and her son Jermaine Winn. Felecia is remembered by her two beautiful sisters, Jackie Howard, and Denise (Alex) Tollinchi, and her precious granddaughters, Jazmyn Winn, Calayah Morgan, and Ilaria Winn. Additionally, special aunts, Loretta (Thomas) Masterson, Dr. Rosalyn M. Wynne of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Uncle Willie (Vanessa) Kelly, as well as a niece, JeaShanda Wright, nephews, Anthony Wright-Lake, Jr., Brian Wright, Marquis, and JaySean Douglas, and a special cousin, Robert Scott, join in cherishing Felecia's memory. She also leaves behind dear close friends, Janice Johnson, Verdia McCarter, Timos Messer, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
Felecia was preceded in death by her son, Clayton "JoJo" Winn, stepfather David Jones, and grandmothers Annie L. Wynne and Willie Lee Thompson. Her youngest sister, Tamika R. Jones, also preceded her in death.
