Eugene VanPaul Cobb

Mr. Eugene V. Cobb born on August 27, 1965 to his beloved late mother Juanita Annette Cobb, departed his earthly life on Monday April 25, 2022.

Eugene was raised in Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from Northrop High School. After graduating from high school, he attended Central State University located in Wilberforce, OH. He received a BS degree in Finance. While at Central State Eugene was a member of the Marauder Football team and was inducted into the Central State’s Football Hall of Fame. Eugene was very proud of his time playing football and enjoyed sharing stories of his glory days with others.

On May 18, 1985, Eugene became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Nu Chapter at Central State University.  He was one of 13 brothers known as Project 13. Brian Cohen, Phil Crout, Clint Bowman, LaRon West, Timothy Beaty, Sr. Gary Barnett, Michael Jennings, James Mack, Thomas Boyd, and Tony O’Neal. Eugene has now joined Harold Young and O. Shay Okotee in the Omega Chapter. Eugene would often speak of his brothers, and that he gained not only brothers, but true friends. In addition to the 13 brothers, he also gained a special nephew Renaldo O’Neal.

Eugene was preceded in death by his mother whom he loved with all his heart. He leaves many cousins, and friends left to cherish the memories that we now hold on to.

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
