Elmer Samuel Lewis

Elmer Samuel Lewis was born April 21, 1957 to the late Willie and Lillian Lewis. He departed this life, August 3, 2023 at Lifecare Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Elmer was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved to Centralia, Illinois. He accepted Christ at an early age. He moved back to Fort Wayne in 1976. He was previously employed by David Jardons Lawn Service and Mitchell Wyatt Cleaning Services.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Pat (Al) Martin of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Florence Lewis of Centralia, Illinois, Ruth Wilkes of Calumet City, Illinois, Rosemary (Lindburg) Templeton of Tennessee, Gloria (Ken) Evans of Holt, Michigan, and a brother, Thomas Henry of Dover, Delaware, special cousins, Winston Pierson, Sr., and Teresa Wallace, his best friend, David Jardon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special aunt, Dorothy Pierson.

 Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillian Lewis, brother, Dewayne Lewis, and sister, Darlene Lewis.

Elmer will always be remembered for his love of soul food and being an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
