Dorothy L. (James) Prescott, 93, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020 at the Ashton Creek Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Dorothy was born Sept. 10, 1927 in Edna TX, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James. She graduated high school at the age of 16, at the top of her class, then attended Beauty College. She worked for First National Bank and retired. She also loved fishing and playing bingo. Dorothy was a pro with numbers.
She had one daughter; Brenda J. (Callis) Hall with her 1st husband, Hershall Callis, in 1946. She then met and married Edward Z. Prescott, who was in the Air Force, and moved to Kokomo, IN. She was a faithful member and Church Mother of Grace Memorial COGIC.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, to her significant other; Mr. David Pickett, grand daughter; Keisa (Derek) Murchinson of Savanna, GA, grandson; Sean (Damali) McGuire of Detroit, MI, adopted daughter; Rose Govan of Ft Wayne, 10 great-grands (#1) Jordan M. Jackson, 14 great-great grands. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter.
