Donnell Young was born on May 6, 1963, to Willie Mae Young and Sherman Young, Sr., in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved t Fort Wayne, Indiana in the late 1970’s.
He attended Northrop High School where he played basketball with Northrop’s Finest.
In his spare time, Donnell loved singing. He was also the biggest Chicago Bears Fan Ever!
He leaves to cherish him, his wife; Kim Young, three daughters; Tonika Williams, Donita Sinclair, and Dasha Young, four sons; DeAndre Sinclair, Daemen Williams, Xavier Drummer, Arrington Williams, and Wilbert (Sandra) Brantley, three brothers; Sherman (Beverly) Young, Tracey (Anita) Barbee, Johnson (Tricia) Young, one sister; Yvette Gardner. One thing Dad always said was, “Celebrate me when I’m gone!” “Don’t weep for me too long!”
