Donald Trice, Jr.

Donald Trice, Jr. affectionately known as "Sasha Brown" or "Duck" by many was born May 2, 1960, to the blessed union of Donald Sr. and Audrey Novella (Warfield) Trice in Olympia WA. He accepted Christ at an early age and believed in the risen Savior all of his days. Donald was employed by many diverse, varied and distinct organizations throughout Fort Wayne, IN and retired in 2015 as a result of prolonged dialysis treatments. "Sasha" or "Duck" as he was fondly called by friends and loved ones had a passion for mechanics and automotive repair. His favorite saying was "If he couldn't fix it, then you probably need a new car." Donald considered himself a "Jack of all trades and a master of none." Which literally translated means he knew a lot about many subjects and areas of experience but was also not afraid to take on new and unfamiliar challenges as they arose. He would never tell you "No" and would always try to assist whenever his skills matched the task at hand. Donald prided himself on giving family members and friends personal nicknames and was an avid cook and inspiring gourmet chef. He regularly honed his culinary skills each Sunday by preparing meals to be shared with his "Best Friend" and niece Autumn Trice. Of his many accomplishments, Donald was most proud of his children whom he showered with love and affection and poured himself into without measure. Additionally, he was a 3rd degree Mason of which he held with great pride and distinction. Donald loved all his nieces and nephews and cherished the time that he spent with them on every occasion, and they treated him with pride and respect. He departed this earthly life on Friday July 30, 2021, 6: 15 AM at the home of his sister Cecilia surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to cherish his memory four loving sons, Allante, JaQuan, Israel and Curtis all of Fort Wayne; 3 loving daughters, Grace of Arizona, Cortney and Tanisha of Fort Wayne; 4 brothers Christopher (Nicole) Trice, Sr. of Atlanta, Marcus (Linda) Trice of Fort Wayne, Shawn (LaTasha) Trice of Columbus, OH and Nigel (Heather) of New Haven; one beloved sister Cecilia Trice of Fort Wayne; a special brother Byram (Pecola) Trice of Fort Wayne and a host of nieces and nephew's other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Trice, Sr. and Audrey Novella Trice; brother Norman Trice; sisters Sabrina Shelton and Deborah Jones.
