Dominica Shonta Rogers

Dominica Shonta Rogers was born on January 25, 1980 in Fort Wayne to the late Levell Edwards and Cassandra Rogers in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dominica accepted Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church. She graduated from Southside High School and Marc Outlaw Academy, then later attended Ivy tech Community College studying to become a registered nurse. Dominica was a devoted mother of seven children. She leaves to cherish her memories to: Da’Shanique Sharda Moore; Michael Omar Lewis; Da’Leshia L. Davis; O’Marion Malik Rogers; Damonta Charles, Diamonique Cherion, Danasia Monae RolandRogers; goddaughter, Mattie Hazel Sunshine Studivant. Her mother: Cassandra Rogers; siblings, Kiaundray Rogers; Marianna Rogers; Mondre Washington; Lavante Macon; Taranika Cain; Casey Cain; Brittany Brown; Lanicka Bates; grandsons: Rashaad Junior; Jahlil Junior; Nehemiah Washington-Rogers, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, cousins, and close friends. Dominica is preceded in death by her father: Levell Edwards; brother, James Javar Rogers; grandmother, Mary Ann Ramsey; grandfather and grandmother, James, and Ellen Edwards; Uncle Junior; and Cousin Richie. Dominica was a spiritual guiding light. A faithful, fun, fabulous, fantastic, forty-year-old that will classify herself as a” diva”. She devoted her time with her family. Her grandkids were her everything and she was everything to them, they were her gbabies. She loved to cook; having fashion and smelling good was her thing. Dominica was a true believer in the power of God and highly favored. To the loved ones and everyone she knows, God has now called his child home in Paradise. She was a chosen angel picked to be planted in Gods garden
