Deondray Jennings (Deon) was born on March 11, 1967, to Douglas and Jacquline Jennings in Detroit Michigan. Upon graduating from Southeastern High School he enlisted in the military and served in the U.S. Army. While overseas he served in Korea, The Persian Gulf War, and Desert Storm/Desert Shield. During his military career, he became an accomplished chef earning recognition and awards for proficiency and skill. Growing up, his family was devout members of the church, becoming founding members of the ChristianTemple Baptist Church where he was later baptized. Deon Loved to sing and dance and listen to music; he also enjoyed bowling, and shooting pool. Deon leaves to honor and cherish his memory his beloved wife; Juanita, step-daughter; Ariana and grandson Arion, sister Gwendolyn Williamson (Pinky) and brother-in-law Michael Williamson, brother Carnal Williamson, and sister-in-law Rachel Williamson, sister Sharonn Jennings and father Douglas Jennings, sisters-in-law; Arlene, Atlene, and Morease, brothers-in-law; Adolph, Jimmy, and Irving, and aunts Carolyn, Joyce, Mary, and Denise, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceding him in death were his mother Jacquline Jennings, sister Crystal Jennings, Deon’s battle with illness ended on June 8, 2022.
