Darren Dewayne Doughty, 44, of Fort Wayne, IN was called home in the early hours of Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Darren, son of the late Foster and Leola Doughty, was born on July 30, 1978, in Tuscaloosa, AL. Darren, committed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age at First National Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, IN.
He was preceded in death by his earthly parents Mr. Foster and Leola Doughty. Three siblings Katherine Randall, Cassandra Hall, and Foster Doughty. Darren lived a large portion of his life in Fort Wayne, IN where he attended Snider High School.
He enjoyed cooking (Macaroni), watching sports (loved the Lakers and New England Patriots), playing cards, watching TV series and movies, listening to music, spending time with family and friends (who would usually end up becoming extended family to him), and recently he picked up online shopping. Many people would agree that he was everyone's favorite uncle and cousin.
He will forever be cherished by his daughter Darriana Doughty, a loving long life companion Lamika Dennis (MY MIKA), his eight siblings: Mrs. Annie Moton (Derrick) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Shirley D. Miller, Robert Hall, Mrs. Cassandra Rozier (Dymetro), Candy Hall, Shondra Hall, Michael Doughty (Amber) and Tequila Doughty all of Fort Wayne, IN. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
We will come together on February 20th, 2023, at 10:00am for the viewing and 11:00am for the funeral service at New Zion Tabernacle 1835 Spring St, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery 2324 W Main St, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
