Darrell Anthony Williams

Darrell Anthony Williams was born on November 29, 1960, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Charlie Williams and Dorothy (Wiley) Williams. On May 12, 2026, he peacefully

departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, hard work, and devotion to family. Darrell accepted Christ at an early age and maintained his faith throughout his life. He

worshiped and grew spiritually under the leadership of True Love Missionary Baptist Church under the late Bishop Jesse White, New Horizon Church under Pastor Keion Henderson,

and Victory Worship Center under Pastor David Moore. Darrell was known for his remarkable work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and determination. Never one to shy away from hard work, he

labored faithfully in service-related fields and proudly operated his own food truck, always striving to provide for those he loved.

Darrell was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charlie and Dorothy Williams; his sons, Darrell Pinkston, Kentrelle Benson, Jermarris Sewell, Jermorris Sewell, and Kayrie

Benson; his sisters, Daisy Cowen, Rosa Walker, and Elnora Williams; and his brothers, Charles Williams, Robert Williams, Alfonso Williams, and Charles Wilson.

Darrell’s greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted and loving wife, Annette Williams, with whom he shared many years of love,

companionship, and unwavering commitment, having united in holy matrimony on October 6, 1994. He also leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Jamarcus Williams, Jamone Williams,

Darrell Williams III, Darrick Pinkston, Brooker Sewell, and Antonio Sewell; his daughters, Diamond Williams and Sharela Shorter; his special sons, Joseph Williams and Isaiah

Givins; his special goddaughter, Lamisha Logan; his brothers, Rev. Jacarra Williams (Dr. Aleshia Williams) and Jerome Williams; his sisters, Doris (Willie) Garrett, Barbara Sanders,

and Clifforine Starkey; along with 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever

cherish his memory. Darrell will be remembered for his strength, resilience, generous heart, and unwavering love for family. He was a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with determination. His life was a testimony of perseverance, faith, and commitment to those he held dear.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in the blessed assurance that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” His legacy of love, laughter, strength, and perseverance will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
