Damion Lamarr Jacobs, who was born on July 14, 2006, and departed this life on January 28, 2026.
Damion was preceded in death by his father, Damion Wheeler; his great-grandmothers, Occie Hood and Ruby Lamb; his great-grandfather, Donald Lamb Sr.; step-grandparents, Ruthie Jean Ellis, Gregory Lawrence, and his cousin, Allen Ruffin.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Shera Lawrence; stepfather, Tyrone Lawrence; siblings, Kanarion Boykin and Tavaeh Lawrence; grandmothers, Melissa Jacobs, Bernice Jacobs, and Denise Wheeler; and grandfather, Donald Lamb Jr. He is also lovingly remembered by his godmother, Sheena Perry, and godfather, Josh Fleming.
Damion leaves behind a large and loving family, including his aunts Patricia Wheeler, Clara Wheeler, Sandrona Wheeler, Desire Jacobs, Temptaius Jacobs, LaDasha Jacobs, Tridonna Johnson, India McCarter, Sequoia Ackles, Tiana Ellis, and Shanetra Ellis; special aunt Jalynn Williams; and his uncles Corey Green, Isaac Green, Adonnis Jacobs, Neuman Jacobs, Donelle Lamb, Donnie Johnson, and Jerome Jacobs, along with a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.
Damion was a bright light to everyone who knew him. His smile could brighten any room, and dancing was a must—music was his passion. He loved being around his family and was always flashy, dressed well, and full of confidence. He respected his elders and was both a lover and a fighter—determined, talented, and mature beyond his years, an old soul. He was well known and unforgettable—everyone knew “Mister He Had to Be Heard.”
He loved picking with his brother every chance he got and always wanted to please others. Unique in every way, Damion was truly a grandma’s boy and will forever be remembered as Gmas lil baby. He enjoyed fixing things—and sometimes breaking them too.
Damion proudly received his GED in early January 2026 and held a certificate in construction. Most importantly, he loved the Lord. He was baptized and accepted Christ at a young age, and he faithfully attended New Day Life Ministries under Apostle Denise Trimble, making sure he went even if he had to walk.
