Curwanna Shanta Hughes was born on March 12, 1986 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Curwin D. Hughes and Charniece D. Thomas.
Curwanna was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on February 12, 2020.
Curwanna confessed to Christ at an early age. She was a CNA and was furthering her education in the medical/health field. Curwanna graduated from Wayne High School in 2004 located in Fort Wayne, IN. Curwanna was set to graduate from Ultimate Medical Academy in April 2020. She worked at Sage Bluff Nursing Home where she had nothing but passion for her residents. Curwanna enjoyed sports. She played basketball along with running track. Curwanna leaves to cherish her memory; her son David Arrion Lee Arrington of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her mother Charniece Thomas, father; Curwin Hughes; stepdad, Joseph H. Thomas, Jr.; sisters; DaQwanna (Tikoyo Robinson), Jessica Hughes, Jayana Herman and Ashley Gray, grandmothers; Mary Hughes and Louise Conrad; great-grandfather, Elder Mack Conrad, two aunts; Corelli (DeArthur, Jr.) Williams and Angela Pearson, three uncles; Lieutenant Colonel Steve (Yolanda) Conrad, Rowtelly (Veda) Conrad and James Hopkins, Jr., six nephews and four nieces along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Curwanna was preceded in death by her 1st born son, Davion Lee Arrington, grandfathers; James Hopkins, Sr., and Douglas Hughes, and one aunt; Carmen Hughes.
