Curtis Lee Bonner, “Kool-Aid” 70, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, surrounded by his family. He graduated from North Side High School in addition to being a Certified Nurse Assistant. Curtis also worked at Coverall Cleaners.
Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Curtis was the fifth child of seven children and a lifelong believer in the power of kindness. He was full of jokes and humor and always willing to help others.
Curtis’s joy was found in life’s simple pleasures of junking and thrift shopping. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, whether they were lifelong friends or strangers he met in the grocery store.
His warmth, laughter, and gentle wisdom will be deeply missed, but his love will live on in the hearts of all who know him.
He is survived by his mother, Bertha Mae Bonner, his brothers, Ricardo Lee Bonner and Dennis Ray Taylor, his sisters, Jacqueline Drake, Gwendolyn Green, favorite cousin Ronnie Lee Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Everett Bonner, brother Everett Bonner, and sister, Rosalee Marie Bonner.
