Chelsea Charlene (Powell) Phillips

Chelsea Charlene (Powell) Phillips affectionately known as “Chel” was born November 28, 1970, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Maxine Hendrix (Powell) and Charles Williams ,Sr.

In 1989, she graduated from South Side High School. She pursued a Career in nursing which she enjoyed for over 20 years. In Chelsea's free time she enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, shopping for her grandmother and the greatest of them all was that she loved being with her family. Chelsea departed this life on March 4, 2023 at her home.

She leaves to cherish her legacy, daughter, Radiance Carter (Corey)

and son Dietrich Crowder, Jr., of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her grandchildren, Taliyah Carter and Tyrell Carter, Jr., of Fort Wayne, Indiana. sister, Rhonda Gaywood, brothers Bill Wilkins (Powell), Christopher Williams, Charles Williams, Jr., nieces and nephews, Marcus (Nakia) Powell and Dontay (Kellcey) Helire, Lakreisha Woodward & Quinton Scott, Sr., best friends Shae Oquinn, Tess Starks, and Decarla Davis (Nelson), and a host of great-nieces, nephews, aunts,uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Corey, Jr., parents, Maxine Hendrix (Powell) and Charles Williams, Sr., sister, Lassette (Powell) Helire, and grandmother Savannah Powell.
