Chase Lionel Watson

On December 22, 2008, a child was born to Tanya Watson and William Smothers.  They named him Chase Lionel Watson, better known as “Baby” on March 20, 2025, God saw fit to call him home.

Chase was a very respectable, charming and funny young man full of nothing but LOVE.  Chase was an excellent student and enjoyed participating in sports.  He was the peacemaker of the family and had no problem showing affection with his HUGS.

He is survived by his parents, Tayna Wayson and William (Nyla) Smothers; a sister, Khalani Smothers; three brothers, Eric Turner, Greg Roberts, William Smothers, Jr.; a grandmother, Tonia Cannon; a grandfather, Melvin Coker; four God-brothers, Devion Conley, Dai’Twon Conley, Dai’john Conley,  Ahmad Hood.

He was preceded in death by his sister, London Roberts; grandparents, Archie and Susie Smothers; grandfather Lorenzo Cannon; great-grandparents, Albert and Regenia Watson; and many other family and friends.
